1-Inch Lens List

Prime lenses are listed first, followed by zoom lenses. Each table can be sorted, searched globally, filtered by column, paged, and collapsed responsively on phones. Brand and model are kept separate so multiple lenses of the same focal length can be tracked cleanly.

Coverage legend: Covers Likely covers Partial Likely partial Vignettes No coverage Needs test Unknown

Key Points: “Covers” should mean there is a forum thread with evidence; “likely covers” is used when there are only textual statements found stating that the lens covers; “partial” is to be used when the lens would work if a slight crop is applied, but these are always a compromise; "likely partial" is when there is textual evidence that the lens almost covers the 1-inch format; “vignettes” is to be used not when there is a light or acceptable vignette, but when the vignette is so strong it would deter one from using the lens; "No coverage" means the lens is not big enough for the 1-inch format and should not be used; “needs test” means that we're hopeful it will cover but only a test can confirm that; or lastly “unknown” is to be used when a lens is put on the list that we know nothing about but may end up being useful for the 1-inch format.

Sort by focal length or aperture, use the global search, or filter individual headings at the bottom of the table.

Zoom lenses

Zooms often need more careful testing because coverage can change across the range. Record wide, mid, and tele behaviour in the forum thread.
