1-Inch Lens List

Native 1-inch and small-format lenses are listed first, with prime lenses followed by zoom lenses. A separate larger-format table tracks commonly adapted Micro Four Thirds, APS-C, and full-frame lenses where image-circle coverage is generally not the primary question. Each table can be sorted, searched globally, filtered by column, paged, and collapsed responsively on phones.

Coverage legend: Covers Likely covers Partial Likely partial Vignettes No coverage Needs test Unknown

Key Points: “Covers” should mean there is a forum thread with evidence; “likely covers” is used when there are only textual statements found stating that the lens covers; “partial” is to be used when the lens would work if a slight crop is applied, but these are always a compromise; "likely partial" is when there is textual evidence that the lens almost covers the 1-inch format; “vignettes” is to be used not when there is a light or acceptable vignette, but when the vignette is so strong it would deter one from using the lens; "No coverage" means the lens is not big enough for the 1-inch format and should not be used; “needs test” means that we're hopeful it will cover but only a test can confirm that; or lastly “unknown” is to be used when a lens is put on the list that we know nothing about but may end up being useful for the 1-inch format.

Focal reducer legend: Compatible Incompatible Unknown

Key Points: “Compatible” means the lens mount and image circle are generally suitable for focal-reducer / Speed Booster use on a smaller-format camera, assuming the correct adapter exists. “Incompatible” usually means the lens is already a native Micro Four Thirds lens or otherwise cannot accept a reducer between lens and camera. “Unknown” means compatibility should be verified before relying on it.

Native 1-inch / Super 16 Prime Lenses

For C-mount, TV, 16mm, Super 16, and other similar format primes where coverage on BMPCC OG and 1-inch sensors needs to be tracked carefully.

Native 1-inch / Super 16 Zoom Lenses

For C-mount, TV, 16mm, Super 16, and other similar format zooms. Zooms often need more careful testing because coverage can change across the range. Record wide, mid, and tele behaviour in the forum thread.

Frequently Adapted Larger-Format Lenses

For Micro Four Thirds, APS-C, and full-frame lenses commonly used on BMPCC OG and 1-inch-adjacent workflows. Coverage is normally assumed to be sufficient; the more useful question is mount, handling, and focal-reducer compatibility.
